Show oo MO EXCURSION IS TO BE IN TO THE KIUIGHT MILLS Details of the big trade excursion to Provo next Friday, when some 200 business men of the state will be guests of the Knight Woolen Mills company, were announced yesterday by W. F. Violett, superintendent of the garment factory of the company. Seven hundred and fifty invitations have been sent by the company to members of the United Commercial Travellers' association, the Travelers' Protective association, and manufacturers manufac-turers and business men of the state. I From present indications It is predicted predict-ed that between 20O and 300 persons will take advantage of the invitation to see the west's biggest and oldest woolen mill in operation. To care for the guests from Ogden and Intermediate points a special train will be operated from Ogden over the Salt Lake & Ogden interurban. At Salt Lake the party will be taken to Provo on a special train over the Salt Lake Route, scheduled to leave Salt Lake at 10:25 o'clock. Utah Luncheon. The excursionists will be met at the station at Provo by the children of the Provo schools, committees "from the Provo Commercial club and other local organizations. Headed by bands, the visitors will march to the woolen mills, where they will be served with a buffet lunch composed entirely of Utah products. General Manager T. L. Boone of the woolen mills company, com-pany, with whom the trade excursion idea originated, has laid particular stress on the fact that the lunch will be composed of Utah products purchased pur-chased by the woolen mills company, Instead of being donated by the manufacturers. manu-facturers. The whole affair Is at the expense of the Knight Woolen Mills company. After lunch, about two hours will be consumed in conducting the visitors through the big plant. Every detail of the manufacture of woolen goods will bo explained In dotail. The tour of the factory will be followed by short talks from Governor Spry, President Joseph F. Smith and other prominent residents of the state. To Show Process. From the mills the party will go to the quarters of the Provo Commercial club, where they will be entertained by the Commercial club and the commercial com-mercial travelers' organizations of Provo. The special train returning to Salt Lake will leave Provo about 5 o'clock and is scheduled to arrive here about 6:30 o'clock. With reference to the excursion, Mr. Violet said: "It Is our desire that the business men of the state have a thorough understanding un-derstanding of the size of the plant and that they be Informed of the quality qual-ity of the goods we manufacture. The excursion Is to be solely a friendly "booster" affair and it will be impossible impos-sible for us to accept orders from visitors vis-itors on that day. Every loom and every machine will be In action and the details of the industry from the time the wool Is taken from the sheep's back to the finished product turned out will be explained.
