Show WATER BONDS CARRIED BK A VOTE OF 599 YES TO 43 NO The vote at the water bond election elec-tion Saturday was practically unanimous unani-mous in the affirmative, there being only 43 votes in the negative However, How-ever, the voto was exceedingly light, only G42 of a possible 4000, having been cast This morning Mayor A. G. Fell stated stat-ed that there will be no difficulty In lloating the bonds at about 4 1-2 or 4 4-5 per cent interest for either ten or twenty years, and it Is his opinion opin-ion that the bonds should bo issued at an early date He also 9tates that material for making the water main extension from Coldwater canyon to , the municipal wells will be on hand at an early date, so that actual construction con-struction work can begin the latter part of April or the early part of Mav Bids for pipe material will be considered con-sidered by Aprii 9 and contracts let i in mediately after, and. within the next few days, bids for excavation of the trench for the pipe line will be called for, action on the bids to he passed upon at the earliest possible pos-sible time. The mayor states that from now on the board of eommis-Bloners eommis-Bloners and the city engineering de-l de-l artment will be busy perfecting plans for the improvements.
