Show DEMOCRATS WIN MANY VICTORIES Landslides in Maryland, Mass-achusets Mass-achusets and New Jersey and Tammany Defeat. PRESIDENT PLEASED Election Results Considered as Endorsement of the Administration Ad-ministration Policies. Democratic governors were elected yesterday in each state where this office was filled. Massachusetts. New Jersey and Virginia. With the exception ex-ception of New York, where the Tammany democracy was severely rebuked, more Democratic than Re-I Re-I publican victories were recorded at the polls Maryland elected a United States senator, Blair Lee Of the four congressmen con-gressmen elected throughout the country, threp were Democrats. Massachusetts In Massachusetts there was a Democratic landslide and Lieutenant Governor David I Walsh was chosen governor by a plurality of 53 691, the Inrgost ever given a Democratic candidate for th office. Mr Walsh carried with hlin into office every Democratic candidate on the state ticket, with the possible exception of the attorney general.
