Show TWEHTY-FIVE YEARS FOR WALTER GRANT OF OGDEN Walter A. Grant, a former resident of Ogden, who married a Lulu Lud-wig, Lud-wig, was yesterday found guilty of being a leader of a gang of bootleggers bootleg-gers and burglars in Pocatello and sentenced to not loss than 25 years In the Idaho penitentiary. He is a good looking young man of 31 years. On the 23rd of last July fire was set to the home of County Attorney C. Douglass Smith, of Pocatello two fires having been started during the same night. Clues led to a negro by the name of John Thomas, but known as "Frisco," who was located at Shoshone Sho-shone a few weeks ago, and was trapped trap-ped into a confession through William Trueman and Deputy Sheriff 'Gene Taylor, who represented himself as a gambler. Later William Trueman, who was arrested on tho ehage of assaulting as-saulting a Greek, delivered a confession confes-sion implicating Grant, and "Frisco" amplified his former confession, citing cit-ing Grant as the main instigator of numerous plots to burn houses, as-1 sault policemen and promote a gener-1 al era of crime.
