Roy Kimball and Robert Sheffield convicted last week ! of statutory offenses appeared in ' Judge Call's court for sentence this ; afternoon Motions for new trials and motions In arrest of Judgment were made, argued and overruled The defendants werp then sentcne ed to indeterminate sentences in the state prison of not more than three years each. Notice of appeal to the supreme ; court was given and bail was fixed at $5f00 in each case In passing sentence on Sheffield. Judge Call took occasion to commend Benjamin F Bingham of this city, father of one of the prosecuting witnesses. wit-nesses. Fie said.
