Show OGDEN LOSES I FIRST GAME Ames o f Vigilantes Outpitches Knight Kittens Make a Good Showing in the Field -"Red" Murray Plays With Helena 1 Helena. Aug. 5 There was a pitch ers' battle today when Ogden and Helena met for the first of the locr.l series, and Ames simply outpiteped Manager Knight of the Kittens with the result that the score stood 5 to 1 in the locals' favor. The visiting mound man showed splendid ability, but the local pitcher simply delivered splendid goods and, had it not been for an error, the Ogden Og-den players would not have scored a run. Knight allowed 12 hits, and Ames, who did the ball tossing for the Vigilantes, allowed only X and these were scattered The fielding work vas Bplcndld for both, with Ogden only making one. and the locals two errors.
