His early coaching coach-ing days were quite successful and he was the first person to introduce basketball in Bingham, which is still one of our town's favorite pastimes. Mr. Christensen devoted practically his entire life to the physical development devel-opment of youth. He had been associated asso-ciated with various high schools as coach and during that time had contributed con-tributed much to the development of those whom he came in contact and it may be said that he achieved more than ordinary success in raising basketball teams in this great copper camp. The service he rendered the boys of Bingham was of significant value, and his passing is a distinct i loss. His knowledge of basketball was unquestioned and last year was made state arbiter of basketball by the colleges of Utah. He is survived |
