Last season they hatched oat 600, COO trout. It does ones eyes good te see them at feeding time, jumping to the top of the water to catch the floating food. This hatchery is yet in its infancy, being but four years old. They have ia stock about 600,000 trout one and two ytftrs old, having just maiketed all three years old at 30 cents a pound. Fish art great feeders ths more you feed the faster they grow. These fish are consuming 2,000 pounds of shorts and 1,600 pounds of liver end lights per month, which is cooked for them, excepting the liver, which is fed raw. In addition to this they coneuwt all vegetables within reach. Now, figuring 600,000 annually after the first year at 10 cents per pound would mean $60,000, which is no small amount to be taken out of an enterprise requiring so small an outlay, It requires but one mans lime to run a hatchery of fhi size. There will be a short but appropriate program rendered, after which th be handed over to the General Superintendent and Faculty for examination and classification. The Board has been enterprising enough to secure the services of competent teachers, and The Time bespeaks for the school a full attendance and a successful session. Nothing now remains but for the eop!e to properly patronize this worthy institution and it Vuccess is certain. The students will use, as far as they are suitable, exactly the same books as those in the Jistrut schools. In this way patrons will incur no extra expense. Of course other ud more advanced books will be needed in the high school course which will be given'.
