Show Bingham Mines Co. Acquires New Property During the past week an announcement announce-ment was made by the Bingham Mines company that it had acquired from Honolulu interests control of the Mon-tana-Bingham Consolidated Mining company property, which is situateo in the West Mountain mining district, dis-trict, Salt Lake county comprising oi the Tiewaukee, Eddie and Fortuna groups and the Thrush claim, a total of 277 acres, A large part of this property adjoins the Winamuck & IXixon properties, recently acquired by the same company. The Bingham Mines company now owns and controls in Bingham, a total to-tal of 1843 acres. It is proposed to carry on extensive development work in the Montana-Bingham property with a view of putting it into the productive pro-ductive stages at as early a date a: possible During the last six months, the Bingham Mines company has adpot-ed adpot-ed an aggressive polity in the matter of acquiring acreages of promising mineral land. In this way the company com-pany proposes to perpetuate its enterprise en-terprise and guarantee stockholders income over a long period of years. The current year has been the most prosperous in the history of the company.- Production has been increased until during August the company made an operating profit of over $70,-000, $70,-000, as compared with earnings after tax reserves, but before depreciation and depletion, amounting to $247,000 for the first six months of 1925. This improvoment in the financial condition of the property as the result re-sult of stronger metal prices and larger output has been reflected in the stock's advance to new high levels. Reduction of the company's outstanding outstand-ing stock to 50,000 shares has also been an important factor in increasing increas-ing the price of the stock. |
