Mr. J. H. Bankhead of the First National, will talk on the tub-ject tub-ject of Logan as "A Seat of Learning and a Mart of Trade." Gen. Chas. S. Burton of the Utah State National will disclose to the banqueters some of the secrets of "How to Merge Banks." Hon. Geo. C. Whltmore of Nephi will describe "Banking on the Frontier." Senator Whltmore Is still absent ln the east, having been in attendance at-tendance at the Baltimore convention, conven-tion, but his son, George M., writes from Nephi, that his father will be home in time for the big banquet and he foels sure he will be proud to respond re-spond to a toast Judge O. W. Pow-ors Pow-ors has signified his willingness to say some things about tho profession of banking which he thinks may forever for-ever sever his hitherto amicable relations re-lations with those who loan money. His toast Is as follows: "Why should innocent people put their hard earnings earn-ings Into the hands of tho predatory rich without security?" Hon. E. H. Snow of St. George, is down for a eulogy on "Utah's Dixie. ' Hon. Chas. R. Mabey, mayor of Bountiful Boun-tiful will discuss "Hewers of Wood and Drawers of Overdrafts." Tho regular Cache Valley train leaves Salt Lake at 4:15 in the afternoon after-noon and returns next day at 11:35 ln tho forenoon. A number of the banking fraternity of Salt Lake and their friends have decided to take this train, while others will motor along by easy stages, starting the day before or early ln the morning of July 12. |
