Show UNITED IRISH SOCIETY TO HOLD FIELD MEET. Five hundred dollars will be offered In prizes at the annual picnic of the Unitod Irish societies which will be held at Grogson Springs, July 21. The program of the athletic events has just been announced, and doubtless the occasion oc-casion will be what is claimed for it, the greatest field day of tho season. Three-legged race (confined) First prize $3, second prize $2. 100-yard race for boys under 16 First prize $5, second prize $2.50. 75 yards for girls under 16 years First prize $5, second prize $2.50. Running broad jump First prize $10, second prize ?5 Running hop, step and jump First prize $10, second prize $5. Runing high jump First prize $10, second prize $5. Included in the day's arrangements will be an exhibition drill by the Irish Volunteers under the command of Captain Drohan. Two football games will bo played. A prize waltz will be held in the evening in tho new pavilion pavil-ion and the prizes will be $10 for first and $5 for second. The music will bo by McNamara's orchestra. The special spe-cial fare for the round trip will be 56 cents. Trains will leave Butte at 9.40 and 11:30 a. m., 1, 5 and 11:30 p. m., and leave Gregson at 3:20, G:55, 9:10 and 10:45 p. m. |
