Show OMAHA ELKS INVADE OGDEN The Omaha delegation of Elks en route to tho Portland convention arrived ar-rived In the city today at S 30 a. m The party consisted of about 230 people, peo-ple, including Elks" and their wives and sweethearts The train stopped for about one hour and during that time a great many of the isitor3 strolled around the streets and sized up the city. A small party of tho delegates visited the Elk club rooms on Washington avenue and chatted with tho local members of the order At the depot a large number of the delegates visited with old friends u ho were at tho train to meet them Tho most conspicuous person In the crowd was G. O. Erophy, superintendent of the Union Pacific, who came in with the special train this morning Mr Brophy was decorated by the Elk delegation. He had several kinds of embloms and trophies on him when the train doparted While the train stood at the station sta-tion the Elks had a lot of fun with their siren whistle, which was mounted mount-ed in the dynamo car. nrv |
