Show BOY& ARRESTED DURING CEtEBRATION OF FOURTH Provo, July 5. Following a too strenuous Fourth of July celebration, four Provo boys and one Sprlngvlllo youth -were locked up in the Spiing- - ville jail last night and kept until a lato hour this afternoon, when they were released on ball. Yesterdaj evening Guy Madsen and L. T. Lawhorn of Provo and Frank Boshard of Spanish Fork are alleged to have given Ab Smith of this city several bottles of whisky, which Smith was to sell and divide the profits. The boys then -went away. Returning, Return-ing, they found Smith had no liquor, according to his statement Suspecting Suspect-ing something, they enlisted the aid of Claronce Duke and Ralph Law-horn, Law-horn, who got two waiter's buttons from hotels and appeared at tho Smith place, representing themselves as po llco officers coming to search tho placo for liquor. Smith allowed them to enter, but phoned the shorlff and asked why he was sending deputies without soarch warrants. Marshal Henry Clark was notified to place the boys under arrest They are charged with drunkenness and disturbing the peace. |
