Show WMArTS BIO? IS FOUND CANYON1 The body of Mrs. Sorcn Hanson was found about four and a half miles up Dry canyon yesterfcay afternoon by James and Meclseo Moose, sons ot Chaplain John M. Mooee of the Twentieth Twen-tieth infantry. The boys were out walking when they found the body about 3 o'clock in the afternoon. They notified the police as soon as possible possi-ble and Desk Sergeant A. C. Spoors, Patrolman H. A. Ilscn and Chauffeur O. C. Brown started up the canyon in the auto patrol. It was Impossible to get the automobile automo-bile far Into the canyon and the policemen po-licemen had to carry the body about two and a half miles, after which it was conveyed to the nutomobllo In a wagon sent from Fort Douglas. The body was Identified by tho officers offi-cers as that of Mrs. Hanson, who was thought to have beon demented. She had wandored away from her home, 347 South Stnte street, several tlmos lately, and only last Sunday wanderqd 'to (ho mouth of Emigration canyon, whence she, was taken to her homo by the police. Soren Hansen, who sells newspapers on the street, reported to tho police last Tuesday that his wife had again left home, and since then search hnd been made for her. It was evident that Mrs. Hanson had wandered up the canyon until h.r strength was exhausted. ex-hausted. She was lying In the bottom bot-tom of the ravine when found. She was about 70 years old. The body was taken to S. M. Taylor's undertaking undertak-ing rooms. |
