M ' Smith over the rules which will gov- H I crn the coining fight, final prcpara- 1 tions for the Fourth of July battle H were under way today. Both fight- m crs appear satisfied with their con- H dition and little remains to be done in H the way of training. H Since they finished boxing a couple H of days ago, both Johnson and Flynn H have taken it easy. They are tak- H ing no chances wit,h the fight only two H days awaj. A little road work and m light gymnasium exercise makes up H a day's v,ork in each camp. H Railroad officials sold today that M seven special trains loaded with fight H fans had been reported as due within H. the next two dnys. Promoter Jack H Curlcy declared today that several ad- H ditional trains from the east, west and H south will be necessary to carry sport- H ( ing enthusiasts from distant points. H Up to this time the weather has H been ideal for the fighters. H There is good reason to expect per- H feet weather for the Fourth H It is not oxpected that the confer- H . c-ce between Referee Smith and tho H I fighters will develop much excitement E tonight, the men having already de- H clared for considerable freedom from H Interference by tho referee. H The fighters, it is said, will stipulate H't that there shall be no holding and B hitting and that they must tako care H of themselves in the breakaways M Referee Smith will break them in H event of an infraction of the hold- H and-hit rule. |
