Show WORKING ON THE CITY'S STMTS Supt. A R Ro3s of the P. J. Morap company, suites that grading on Grant avenue, between Twenty-third and Twenty-fourth streets, Is progressing favorably and that in the course of tho week tho avenue will be ready for paving. The first part of the paving will consist of about six Inches "I coarso concrete material, then about two inches of biudor, a combination of asphaltum and coarse gravel, aftei which a layer of asphaltum uearly two lnrhes thick will bo placod. The company's asphalt plant on vrest Twenty-fouith street Is being placed In readiness for the paving and the superintendent states that It will be ready for use next Monday, when the repairing on Twenty-fifth street from Wall to Washington avenues and Twenty-fourth street from Griut to Washington will begin. When tho laying of asphaJt pavement pave-ment begins on Grant avenue and tho repair work on the two streets that are now full of holes, the grading grad-ing gang will be placed at -work grading grad-ing the Intersections; on Washington acnue. at Twenty-fourth and Twenty-fifth Twenty-fifth streets, tho city, In tho meantime, mean-time, to iemove the stone blocks at tho Intersections. |
