Show vv Society LAWN PARTY. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Green entertained enter-tained a number of their friends on Wednesday evening last at a pjettily appointed lawn party at their home In Taylor. Japanese lanterns strung from side to side formed an effective lighting as well as a delightfully pretty pret-ty bower under which were arranged easy chairs, comfortable seats and small tables, where games and music were thoroughly enjoyed Refreshments Refresh-ments and a gay social hour rounded out this pleasurable occasion, the guests departing at a late hour for their respective homes. L. store department were given a surprise Saturday morning when cigars and candy were received with the announcement an-nouncement that William Negus, a fellow-emplove, had taken for his bride, Miss "Pearl Browning, a well known young lady of Ogden. Mr. Neg'-'s is popular among the O. S L employes and hearty congratulations congratu-lations were offered the happy young couple with best wishes for a long lift fraught with happiness and prosperity. pros-perity. SURPRISE PARTY. A party of Ogden young people motored mo-tored out to Layton Saturdaj night, where they were the guests at a surprise sur-prise party given in honor of Miss Marlon Ellison. Among tho number were: Alta Rich, Raymond Rich. Raymond Pearson, Lllilan Long, Myron Shreovo, Cleono Rich and Oertel Rich. Mr. and Mrs. M. Z. Sims are at the homo of their daughter, Mrs. H. R. Bucks, having returned from an extended ex-tended visit In Illinois. Mrs. Jesse Vanderhoof left for Los Angeles Saturday over tho Southern Pacific, her son, Giles, joining her at Sparks, to accompany her on her trip. Miss Inez Cortez and . her sister, Mildred, accompanied by Miss Vorna Rudiger, left laBt evening for Yellowstone Yellow-stone park and Idaho points for a two-weeks vacation. Miss Daisy Kuhn has returned from Salt Lake, where Bhe was the guests of Miss Josephine Well. Mrs Drew Marshall has returned from a visit with Salt Lake friends. |
