Darrow was un- 1 expectedly halted today by the serious I illness of Juror L. A. Leavitt. Shortly I before court convened, a telephone 9 message was received from El Monto : 1 j to the effect that Leavitt had suffered a severe attack of appendicitis. 1 Jm Judge Hutton selected a local doctor 1 to visit and report to the court at 10 3 ? o'clock tomorrow morning, until which I time an adjournment was taken.
