Among the principal planks advocated by Governor Colquitt which will in the main cover the platform adopted, aro: Compulsory saloon closing from 9:30 p. m. to 7:30 a. m. Provisions to enablo cIUob or towns to keep saloons out of residence districts. dis-tricts. Compulsory arbitration for labor disputes In Texas. Prohibiting corporations from contributing con-tributing to campaign funds. Prison reforms. Bonded warehouses for holding cot- A stoclc and bond law amendment permitting railroads to Issuo bonds for permanent improvement. A five-cent tax for Confederate pension pen-sion purposes. |
