Show IN DANGER Invading Army Moving Toward City Farms Are 'Raided' San Francisco. Aug. 12. The investment in-vestment of San Francisco by the militfa army under command of General Gen-eral Robert Wankowskl of the California Cali-fornia national guard, began to tighten tight-en today. Scouts are feeling out the country and foragers are levying on the fanners. The Red or Invading army, Is supposed sup-posed to have landed at Monterey bay south of San Francisco, and is now moving northward from Salinas. Holding the defenses is the Blue army, largely composed of regulars, under command of Colonel Cornelius Gardner. LT S. A. In all about 70,-000 70,-000 troops are engaged.
