Show "John Doe" Police Inquiry In-quiry to Proceed Rosenthal Ro-senthal Murder Trial New York, Aug 21. A "John Doe" police giaft inquiry is to be undertaken under-taken several weeks before the trials of the men charged with the murder of the gambler, Herman Rosenthal, it was learned today. Preliminary proceedings before Supreme Su-preme Court Justice Goff aro expected to strengthen the case agalnat Police Lieutenant Beckor and the six others indicted for the Rosenthal murder, with the unearthing of now evidence of police corruption. The John Doe inquiry will cease during tLo murder trials, but will bo resumed after they are concluded Becker nnd the others will be called to plead in couit tomorrow. The grand jury tomorrow will he asked to consider the testimony of ' Big Jack" Zehg, who told of his arrest ar-rest by two members of Lieutenant Becker's "strong arm'" sqund These two detectives swore they found a revolver re-volver on Zclig's person.
