Williams, j wns guest of honor at a surprise given In celebration of hor eighty-fourth birthday, Wednesday, Sept. 27. 1911, at the home of her son, Ezra H. G. Williams, where some of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and lriends assembled to wish her many ! happy returns of the day. She received re-ceived a number of useful and valuable valu-able presents and took a leading part in the festivities of the evening She was born In Boston, Mass., Sept. 27. 1S27 and was married to Dr. Ezra G. Williams at St. Louis. Mo., Aug. 15, 1817 They, with their Infant daughter (Mrs. Godfrey) emigrated emi-grated to Utah in 1S-19, with CapL Ezra T. Benson's company, whero Dr. Williams practiced medicine until his death. August 1, 1905, at Ogden. They arc the parents of 10 children. 67 grandchildren, and SI great-grandchildren, most of whom aro living at tho present date. An elaborate supper was served between be-tween the hours of 7 and 9, tables be- Ing laid for 32, after which speeches, music and dancing were enjoyed, prominent among the speeches being "Reminiscences of Turkey and the Holy Land," by Wm. Arthur Budge, a number of selections in dialect by Joseph H. Williams, dancing by "Grandma1' Williams, Wm. J Lee and Alexander A. Moves, music by Mrs. J Fred D Williams'. Miss Bessie Lee. Bessie Williams, Mr Jesse H. Draper, and the Williams quartet, and violin selections bv Mr. Lawrence Millard. The guests 'departed at a late hour, declaring It to be one of the most enjoyable en-joyable evenings they had ever spenu There were present Mrs. Lucy E. Godfrey of St. Anthony, Idaho; Mrs. Bertha Godfrey White of Marysvllle, Cal., Mrs. Minnie Godfrey Boylance and Mr Joseph Roylance of Pleasant View, Utah; Mrs. Thomas Budge and Mr. Wm. -Arthur nudge of Pleasant View.
