Show WATER RATE FOR CITY'S SCHOOLS Tho question of fixing tho water rate for tho city schools Is still beforo be-foro tho city govorntaent, it bavins been presumed to the citv board of commissioners this morning by President Pres-ident M. S. Browning. The matter was reforrod to tho head of tho dater-warks, dater-warks, Mayor A. G. Fell. Tho mayor will look into the question tborough.lv with the view of arriving at a defln-Ito defln-Ito understanding with the board of education as to what rate shall be paid for tho water used In the schools of tho city. It has been contonded that Inasmuch as the city owns tho water system and, tho schools being a part of the city government, thoro should be no cost to tho board of education for water. City Auditor Van Dyko communicated communicat-ed to the board of commissioners his list of special tax districts nnd recommended rec-ommended that the tax hereaftor bo mado to cover engineering expenses Herotoforo, tho auditor nays, tho engineering en-gineering charges have not been Included In-cluded and that, by reason of thaL a draft has been made on the general fund for theso expenses The matter mat-ter was referred to Mayor Fell, superintendent super-intendent of public affnlrs and finance. A number of Bpcclal claims were considered by the bonrd before adjournment ad-journment The commissioners will meet again tomorrow. |
