Baker, on Special Sorvice in New Zealand ) Paper bag cookery has lately become be-come an important innovation In New-Zealand New-Zealand households, and large quantities quan-tities of specially mado gfease proof paper bags have recently been Imported Im-ported from London for this purpose and are meeting with a readj sale. Some paper Is also imported and the bags made here. In the latter case tho paper is put up in rolls containing contain-ing sufficient sheets to make 50 to 200 bags, according to size, the price being 2 shillings (4S cents) per roll Small packets of the bags, already made, sell for 1 shilling (21 cents) per packet in assorted sizes. The paper pa-per bag system of cookery is being encouraged and adertiscd to a great extent bj dealers in oil stoves and gas stoes. who hae been giving many public demonstrations of paper bag cookery in their stoes. The new system has become cry popular in Australia as well as in New Zealand, and the newspapers arc giving a great deal of attention to receipts for cooking cook-ing in paper bags. Oil |
