Show Utah State Health Report For the Week A total of 490 cases of communicable commun-icable diseases was reported by local health officers throughout the State to the Utah State Board of Health for the week ending April 18. This is an increase of 39 cases over those reported for the previous week and a decrease of 429 cases as compared withl those reported for the corresponding correspond-ing week in 1940. . The number of cases of German measles continues to increase, a total of 209 cases being reported. Chickenpox is second in number with a total of 93 cases; whooping whoop-ing cough is third with a total of 73 cases. Only two cases of pneumonia were reported, one from Logan and the other from Blanding. Other communicable diseases reported re-ported were as follows: influenza 10, measles 57, mumps, 16, scarlet scar-let fever 8, gonorrhea 3, syphilis 17, and septic sore throat 1. Cedar City and the following counties reported "no diseases"; Daggett, Kane, Rich, Sevier, Uintah, Uin-tah, Wasatch, and Wayne. |
