Show County to Oil Several Roads The Cache County commission, Wednesday approved a program to oil seven and three -fourths miles of county roads during the summer sum-mer months, it was announced by Clerk N. J. Crookston. Hie work to be done by Olof Nelson construction company, will begin in June as soon as weather permits, Mr. Crookston said. He explained that most of the preliminary pre-liminary work, including graveling, has been completed by county road crews. Roads to be oiled, were listed as follows: One and three-fourths miles south of the Lewiston State Bank to the Hyer corner in Lewiston; two miles between River Heights, to Providence city limits, and from south of Providence to Mill-ville; Mill-ville; two miles in North Logan, the North Logon road from U. S. Highway 91 east to the Utah State Agricultural college experiment farm and then south to Logan city limits, and two miles in Benson, from the Benson cutoff, north on the Reese road. Approximately $15,000, representing represent-ing monies received from the state license plates fund, will be .-pent on the project, he said. The commission also agreed to investigate the possibility of opening open-ing a road through the William Loosle farm west of Clarkston, Mr. Crookston said. John Ricks, Bsn-son, Bsn-son, filed a petition asking the road be constructed. |
