Show h Cache Has Green Promising Squad The North Cache Bulldogs, perennially a threat to the security se-curity of other Region One grid teams, will be classed as the "dark horse" of the circuit this year with plenty of potentialities but badly in need of experience. Coach Hebe Whiting, a former U of U grid star, has a squad ' of 55 enthusiastic gridders work-j work-j ing out nightly and most of them, including several sophomores and I ! juniors, are hot after starting I positions. Although Whiting's I squad will not be as heavy as i some of the other region teams, ( I it will be a tricky, fast moving team. i Only half-dozen lettermen are on hand to aid the bulldog cause, while Whiting must find replacements replace-ments for such greats as all-state Ralph Roylance, backfield star, Richard Pond, tackle; Morris Griffin, end, and several others. Captain Ellis Jonas, tackle; Bob Bullen, a plunging fullback; Earl Pilkington and Lyle Webb, Backs; Hugh Hicken, Verl Buxton and Bruce Hymas, linemen, are the experienced players. Being groomed to fill Roy-lance's Roy-lance's shoes in the tailback slot are Jay Van Noy and Delmar Smith, a pair of juniors. Smith is probably the fastest man in the region, while Van Noy is developing devel-oping into a triple-threater. Bullen Bul-len or Bud Porter, a sophomore, will be in the fullback position, with Jack Facer, Lyle Webb, Blaine Atkinson, Earl Pilkington and Jay Griffn fighting for the halfback positions. Captain Jonas is a certain starter on the line, with Irvin Hatch or Bill Hyer, center; Verl Buxton, Winston Reese, Le Grande Weaver, and Gordon Wiser, guards; Hugh Hicken and Rex Layne, tackles; Sherwin Bair, Bruce Hymas, Nathan Done, and Verl Halmberg, the leading end candidates.
