Show SEMCES HELD FOR . GORDON J. EWCcQ Funeral services for Gordon Jackson Ewing were held Saturday Satur-day afternoon aL the Third ward chapel. Services were under the direction of Bishop Douglass Hooper, with the ward choir under the direction of Mr s. Henry O. Hanson and Mrs. Clem Poulson at the organ furnishing the singing. Opening song, "Sometime "Some-time We'll Understand"; prayer Golden Sorenson. Those who spoke words of consolation to the bereaved be-reaved family and of the many sterling qualities of the deceased were Dr. G. L. Rees, Supt. J. W. Kh'kbride, Bp. Richard Roskelley and Bp. Hooper. Special musical numbers were -vocal duet, "Going Home", Mrs. Rebecca and Florence Lewis of Richmond and a vocal duet, "One Fleeting Hour" by Mrs. Forrester Claypool and Mrs. Seth Godfrey. Closing song "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Benediction was by .A. D. Blanchard. The many beautiful floral offerings offer-ings were carried by relatives. Prayer was offered at the home by Bishop W. L. Winn :and the grave at the cemetery was dedicated dedi-cated by Bishop Sylvester Low. The pallbearers were Leo Nel-son, Nel-son, Roussell Lower, Mack Onley, Bob Fulkerson, Ewing Raymond .-and Shel Raymond. The large display dis-play of flowers weer in charge of Mrs. Leo Nelson, Mrs. Leonard Sorenson, Mrs. Norman Lund-Tjerg, Lund-Tjerg, Mrs. Bob Fulkerson and neighbors. Gordon Jackson Ewing was born in Smithfield May 4, 1902, a son -of Samuel P. and Lana Hanson Ewing. He was married to Gwen Larson on March, 26, 1931 Besides Be-sides his wife he is survived by ' his father, two children, all of Smithfield and two brothers Matt Ewing of Placerville, Cal., and Scott Ewing of Panama. v |
