Show The girls of the Smithfield junior jun-ior high school are sponsoring their annual league day, at the. school today. All mothers are invited to attend and view the many fin pieces of needle craft work that their daughters have made during he school year, and they are many, and of fine quality. qual-ity. The grls are to be congratulated congrat-ulated for the fine work they have done. A good program has been outlined . for the morning aud afternoon. The boys of the school will aL so exhibit their well groomed livestock on the grounds while the mothers are being .entertaned in the building. According to Mr. F. W. Soren-sen. Soren-sen. Agriculture instructor at the Junior high school, the fifth annual an-nual Smithfield Junior Livestock Show will be held today, May 2, 1941, on the school grounds. This show is sponsored by the agricultural students at the Jn-ior Jn-ior high school under the direction direc-tion of Mr. Sorensen and promises promi-ses to be bigger and better than ever this year. The events of the day will start at 10:30 am m. with an interschool judging contest consisting con-sisting of three boys representing Smithfield and three from each of the following schools. Preston high school, South Cache high, school, Lewiston, junior high. The following classes for animals will be judged: draft horses, dairy cows, heifers, sheep, hogs, and chickens. Aiter the judging contest, the judging for individual prizes will begin about 11:30 a. m. This promises prom-ises to offer some keen compet-tion compet-tion in all the classes. Ponies Will be shown also, with Bill Monsen trying for first again. The thing that the Summit school students arc looking forward for-ward to is the pel show. Each year "Ms event has turned out better man expected, and this year anticipations an-ticipations are riming high. Ribbons, Rib-bons, will be awarded to the winners win-ners in all classes, even for the while rals. The poultry and rabbi's are going go-ing to be crowded, but the coin-milU.e coin-milU.e is going to try to have better equiprnfMi1! for them.
