Show Don't Remove Shoe Stamps Shoe merchants are complaining complain-ing that consumers are offering them loose shoe ration stamps for purchases, Heber G. Taylor, OPA shoe rationing representative, said today. "I.Ir.i chants cannot accept loose cjupons," said Mr. Taylor, "the t stamp must bo detached in th? ' presence of the shoe clerk or cashier. The custome comes in, t-ies on shoes, maybe several pa'rs, and then hands the salesman sales-man coupons which he cannot accept. The shoe stores are suffering suf-fering from loss of help as well as other businesses, and it is necessary that the burden placed ucon them be lightened as much as possible. Leave stemps in your books until needed and save the merchants' time.'' j |
