Show HOME TOWN PROGRESS You can esimate the future of a city very largely by the amount of interest it takes in movemens for the benefit of the community. commun-ity. If a meeting is called to consider the needs of a city, and only a small group of people can be persuaded to attend, at-tend, there seems a lack of public spirit and co-operation which does not give hope for the future. There seems some lack of foundation for progress. If such meetings are well attended at-tended and enthusiastic, if people peo-ple offer their ideas as to how progress can be promoted, and will serve on committees to accomplish ac-complish progressive steps, then the future of that community looks very bright. If a city has a good organization of the Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce type, and if people join it and pay, their dues and attend its meetings, you can be confident that place is going ahead. |
