Show Junior High Livestock Show Set For May 3 The Fifth Annual Junior Livestock Live-stock show will be held at the Smithfield Jr. High school May 3 The main feature of the day will be the judging of the livestock which will commence at 10 o'clock. This will include classes of all divisions of cattle, swine, sheep, and poultry. Some of the boys which are contending for the awards this year are: Douglas Dou-glas Johnson, LaMar Nelson and Dwaine Cowley. These boys are a few of the many who have signed up. Another big feature of the livestock shoy, and which many of the boys and girls are j looking forward to is the pet show. Many of the Summit ?ehool children participate in (his along with the Junior Rich school. Some cf the rets that w'll he shown are: cats, does, whit? mice and rats, gvine pies, rabbits, rab-bits, duck', l-.atam chickens, and , phea-ents. The business men of Smithfield and surrounding communities com-munities have already contrlbut- j ed many good and useful prizes I to be awarded, along with the ribbons, to the winners. The committees are working very hard to put on a good show and are seeking the help and cooperation co-operation of students and townspeople. |
