Show gOCALS. The Third ward missionary class held a no-host party Wednesday, Wed-nesday, evening in the Mack Memorial Park. Games and music "were enjoyed. Refreshments were served to 30. Earl Smith and two sons Dale and Don of Salt Lake City were guests of Bishop Sylvester Law on Tuesday. Dale Mortensen of Long Beach, Calif, and a friend of Michigan were the guests of Mr. Mortensen's grandfather. Bishop Sylvester Law on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Rohert E. Griffith and children and Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Wright of Ogden left recently re-cently for their summer home at Madison lake. Miss June Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nelson has left for Florence, Alabama, where she will visit with her twin sister Mrs. Robert Hansen. Charles Jepisen returned home after spending a month in Springfield, Spring-field, III. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Lundstrom and Miss Selma Olsen of Logan were guests of 'Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Jensen, Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Bodrero were visiting Tuesday with Mr. and Ms. A. W. Chambers. Mrs. J. C. Perkins has been selected se-lected as the Third Ward Relief Society president. She succeeds Mrs. Preston West. Mrs. Preston West and family are spending the summer in Springville. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Nilson, Dr. and Mrs. Orson S. Daines and family of Ogden, Mr .and' Mrs. Glen Tout and family, and Mrs. Rinda Chambers spent Tuesday in Logan canyon. (Mrs. H. A. Benson of Blackfoot, Idaho, is spending a few days visiting vi-siting her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Leone Benson. Mr. and Mrs. George Graham and son Richard of Berkeley, Calif., are visiting with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tool-son. Tool-son. Mrs. Robert Griffiths entertained entertain-ed at a party in honor of Mrs. Margaret Mathews of Washington, D. C. The afternoon was spent in playing bridge. High score prize was won by Mrs. Helen Toolson. Mrs. MathewTs was presented pre-sented with a guest prize. The following guests were present: Mrs. G. L. Rees, Mrs. T. W. Jar-vis, Jar-vis, Mrs. T. B. Farr, Mrs. Helen Toolson, Mrs. J. E. Sheffer, Mrs. Leonard Sorenson and Margaret Mathews. ; Miss Patricia Toolson and Miss ShirleV Stevens of Salt Lake City were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rich-ard Toolson over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Roskelley motored to Ogden where they met their son, Wendel who is serving in the navy.. He is spending a short furlough with his parents, and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Max Fonnesbeck and son of Salt Lake were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Godfrey and family. 1FFC Wendel Hurren who has been recuperating from injuries received in Cicily. He will spend a short furlough visiting with his folks. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Tout, Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Bair and Mr. and Msr. Jack Allsop spent Saturday evening and Sunday at Bear Lake. A no-host party was held in the Logan canyon Thursday evening, sponsored by Miss Verda Jensen. Those included were Mrs. Loa Wingett, Mrs. Margaret Blazer, Mrs. Golda McCombs, Mrs. Leone Bensen, Miss Gladys Hansen, Mrs. Francis Bingham, Miss Gladys Farrell, Miss Gloria Douglas, Miss Margaret Hurren, Miss Lucinda Hillyard and Miss Verda Jensen. Luncheon was served and the remainder re-mainder of the evening was spent in bowling. |
