The afternoon was spent playing bridge, high score being won by Mrs. Helen P. Tool-son. Tool-son. Luncheon was served to eight club members. Mrs. Roskelley was assisted with the luncheon by her daughter, Mrs. Eugene Lundqulst of Logan. Mrs. Lila Johnstone and children child-ren of Oakland, Calif., have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Parkinson for the past week. Mrs. A. E. Kartchner of Lew-iston Lew-iston was a guest of Mrs. Jay Knudson, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Parkinson were dinner guests of Mrs. Eva Parkinson at Lewiston, Mrs. L. W. McCann entertained at a party in honor of Mrs. L. V. Toolson, Wednesday. The afternoon was spent in visiting, luncheon being served by the hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Toolsoa and family spent Sunday at Lewiston as the guests of Mr. and v Mrs. George Pond. A. L. Walker of Los Angeles, Cal., spent the week visiting with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Roskelley and family. Corporal R. Flint of Vancouver, Wash., is a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bybee and family. Mr. and Mrs. E. Ray Guymon were the guests of Mrs. Jay Knudson Knud-son Saturday evening. Miss Ferda Jensen entertained me missionary club alt her home I Monday evening. Terry Hansen gave a talk on experiences he had in the Spanish American mission. mis-sion. Mrs. James and Mrs. Vern Anderson each gave two solos; Mrs. Vern M. Anderson played an accordion solo; Terry Hansen played a piano solo; Mrs. James gave her experiences while in the Spanish-American mission. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to twenty. Lieutenant Clair Read of Ocean Park, Florida is spending a short furlough with his wife and two daughters. Lieutenant Read is a pilot of the P29. He will be the guest of Mrs. Read's parents, Mr. and Mrs. McCann. Don J. Smith, of Salt Lake City, is visiting with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Ben D. Redd and son Ben, of Price, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Parkinson on Monday. Staff Sergeant Glen Downs spent Friday visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Downs. Miss Norma Onley and Miss Florence Hansen spent a week in Salt Lake City with relatives, Foster J. Godroii returned home recently from an extended trip east when he visited his daughter Dr. Coral Balin at Baltimore, Md. Mr. and Mrs. Erie Gordon and family, spent Sunday at Hyrum visiting friends and relatives. Mrs-9-. Leonard Miles, who has been living1 at San Francisco, Cal., for the past six months, arrived home recently for a short visit with her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Harry Miles, and other relatives. :' Mrs. Margaret '' Parkinton and family of Salt Lake City, have returned to Smithfiefd to make their home. Mrs. Orvil Heaps entertained in honor of her daughter Rozara, who was observing her sixth birthday. The afternoon was spent in play mg games. Mrs. Heaps took their pictures. Refreshments were serv. ed to twelve guests. Mrs. August Wads, of Illinois, visited with her daughter, Mrs. Cecil McCracken on Monday. Miss Bonnie Read spent Tuesday Tues-day in Preston visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Scott Wiser. Hollis Smith, son of Mrs. Fern N. Smith, who has been spending spend-ing a ten day furlough visiting his mother, has returned to the Great Lakes Naval sechool in Chicago, Chi-cago, Illinois, Sunday. |
