Show Canter Club to Exhibit Horses The Cache Canter club today extended an invitation to all club members and horse lovers in the county,' to attend a showing of several fine horses Sunday from 5 to 7 p. m. at the county fairgrounds, fair-grounds, according to President Chet . Q. Wheatley. Delton Armstrong or Nevada, Mo., a leading horse trainer and breeder of the middlewest, will show 18 mares and colts, all registered reg-istered American saddle-bred stock from Tennessee, Kentucky and Missouri. Mr. Armstrong visited in Logan at the "time of the Cache Valley Horse show and Drought the horses west because of many inquiries in-quiries for fine animals. "The purpose of bringing these horse here," Mr. Wheatley said, "is to promote an interest in better saddle sad-dle stock in the valley." Club members are urged bring their horses to the fairgrounds fair-grounds where Mr. Armstrong will give pointers on training and riding rid-ing instruction without charge. Among the fine horses to be shown are "Lady Sunrise," who is a half-sister of the world's champion cham-pion show horse, "Chief of Spin-nell Spin-nell Top." She is sired by "Major Sunrise," and has been trained as a five-gaited show horse. Another entertaining feature, will be an exhibition of the Tennessee Walking horse. National Na-tional Horseman magazine says j the Tennessee Walking horse is I fast becoming America's leading pleasure horse, having a fast walk, canter and the Tennessee running walk. The horse Mr. Armstrong will show is "JoJo Allen," a six-year eld from Shelbyville, Tenn. It i has been trained as a show horse and is one of the first of its type to be imported into I Utah. |
