Show New Clothing Prof at USAC i Miss Lillian Brehm, who has i studied end taught in various schools and organizations through, i out the Unitd States, has been j named associate professor of tex-j tiles, clothing and related arts j at Utah State Agricultural college, Mrs. Almeda P. Brown, acting dean of the school of home economics, eco-nomics, announced today. Miss Brehm, who is a University of Nebraska graduate, suceeds Miss Bertha Johnson on the USAC faculty. Miss Johnson is on sabbatical sab-batical leave studying in New York City. In 1939 Miss Brehm was awarded award-ed a master of arts degree from Nebraska U. with a professional major in vocational home economics econom-ics and a major study in clothing and textiles. She attended the Hazemore school of dress design, coulseling," Miss Brehm said. At one time she acted as advisor to a group of freshman students and was advisor for the YWCA on the campus and a member of the all-university council. She is a member of the American home economics ec-onomics association, Omicron Nu, honorary home economics organization; organiz-ation; Iota Sigma Fhi, honorary chemistry unit, and a member of the American Assiciation of University Un-iversity women. After leaving Nebraska she attended at-tended the University of Minnesota where she was associated with Miss Harriet Goldstein, co-author of "Art in Everyday Life," on related art problems applied to home ec-onomiics. ec-onomiics. Mrs. Brehm announced that many courses in household textiles, tex-tiles, home furnishings, costume design, decorative textiles and flat pattern designing will be offered of-fered to USAC coeds this fall, as well as vurious courses in clothing selection and construction.
