Show Dairy Cattle Must be Tested All dairy cattle to be shown at the county fair must be tested for Bangs disease, according to advice received by the county fair dairy committee from the Bureau of Animal Industry and State Department De-partment of Agriculture. Anyone planning to exhibit cattle cat-tle at the fair should call their local veterinarian who will make the test, says Dr. O. Wermegren, member of the dairy committee. If the entire herd is tested the work will be done without cost; if, however, only the cattle coming to the fair are tested the owner will be expected to pay the cost of the test, according to instructions instruc-tions of the state veterinarian, Dr. Wennergren reports. Therefore, exhibitors ex-hibitors will profit by having their entire herd tested and ' they ere urged to have the work done at an early date. I Due to the fact that there was a county-wide test for tuberculosis control a few months ago, a tuberculin tu-berculin test will not be required to exhibit animals at the county fair. |
