Show HALL PRAISES LOCAL SCHOOLS thit dosith hall has changed his views of price since last fall is indi caged by an interview with the des eret news on his return to salt lake a deft fe days ago from a trip through carbon and emery counties it will be remembered that he be scored this town in a most severe manner forita for its lack of morals and its indifference to all that is grood he ile was called down at tho the time and warmly roasted for uttering eling such statements which were not in any way backed by facts he ile now says the huntington school is the hiat of that type typo that I 1 have i visited and I 1 found it roomy cosy and altogether admirably adapted to the schoolhouse and community purposes the large community room is a special feature which appeals to the students and to the public alike tho the build ing in its general appearance is more like a workshop than a church and I 1 am much pleased with the type and ana with the results being obtained there the fact that it can be built at a less cost per classroom than buildings of more than one story is an additional dit ional feature that is lively likely to make this type of school building popular with Y 1 ath the people of 0 this state mr hall visited the high schools and junior high schools of carbol nd emery counties he ile bad much praise for the work being done in the junior high school at huntington al though ho he is not highly in favor of being attempted year lare he ile feela feels that the schools should limit their energies ner gies rather than extend them ut realizes that the schools in en argin the scope of their operations are merely trying to meet the beede the particularly in places which are far removed atom am other school centers mr hall says the tile work being done in tho the carbon county high school at nce is excellent and that wa 16 one of the flouris flourishing bing schools of the state as well as one of tho the best equipped in emery county he be speaks highly of the progress being mide and did not forget to speak a word in praise of tho the work done in tho the gren river institution |
