Msltson of Mapleton, Utah County, was a caller at the News office Wednesday and an in-terview revealed that this was his first visit to the camp since 1873 at which time he was engaged at haul-ing ore by ox team to the old Wa-satch Smelter at Sandy. Mr. Mat-so- n is 72 years of age and is as spry as a chicken. He expressed great surprise at the wonderful transformation .that h occurred in the general appearance of the camp since his last visit and assured his interviewer that he would endeavor not to postpone his next visit as long a3 he did this one. BETTER WATER The removal of the storage tanks of the municipal water system from their old location in the channel of Carr Fork gulch to a point above the road and about 70 feet above the former location is nearing comple-tion and will result in an improved water system in more ways than one. The addition of one new tank of 50,000 gallons capacity means that much added protection in case of fire. Raising the tanks 70 . feet means an increased pressure of about 30 pounds which is a big item when the firemen are pressed into service. And while our culinery water is, in reality, no better, it looks better, tastes better and we believe it will be better.
