Show THE Gl RLS GET ONE ON ABE. Last Tuesday evening Abe Jones took his sweetheart for a drive and after goiug all over tow wound np at Mrs Schougaard's ice cream parlor. Having tied the horse to the telegraph pole the happy couple went inside to partake of a dish of the teeth-freezing delicacy with no thought of impending trouble to mar the even tenor, or baritone, of of the evenings enjoyment. Abe ordered one dish of strawberry and two spoons and he and the other spoon were jus' preparing to get on the outside of the of the cream, when some charitably disposed dis-posed person came iu and informed him that if be had It ft a horse and buggy outside he had better be looking after his property as the horse was seen going go-ing down the street at a lively gate, drivon by a na;den fair. Abe did not believe it, but-on going out found the report to be true ,his rig was not in eight.
