Show The Territorial Fair- A baloon ascension and a band contest will be among the attractions at the territorial fair to be held in this city next month. Professor C. J. Thomas has been requested re-quested to give his "Comrad in Arms' chorus one night during the exhibition, and there is no doubt bnt that he will consent. There are said to be several applicants for each of the special privilegs, but all of them have been referred to the executive execu-tive committee. Hardy's special premium of $50 wll probably be devoted to a horse-pulling match $25 for the best under 1,200 pounds and $25 for the best over 1,200 pounds. GENERAL NOTES. Dalleu, the sculptor, will exhibit his full size clay statute of Brlgham Young and pioneers at the October fair. It will be a great exhibit. W. L Pickard & Co., offer one case Haywood's linglish sheep dip, value ?16, for the best exhibit of Angora goats raised in Utah. Space at the fair is eagerly sought for alieady. Stanton's tower fire exhibition will be a regular curtain raiser. The ladder work and life-saving process will b new and novel. Herald. |
