is all in ready for the editor to come and pick it up thoughts go back to the week end spent in the city mr air epperson permitting would like to tell a little about it to begin with vera called latt late wednesday afternoon in in a spanking ning new nev four day old chevrolet you know vera that vivacious little chatterbox with the infectious giggle never a dull moment round vera she really ought to be more dignified being the wife of senator don hopun hoplin of croydon and woodruff well with vera at the helm I 1 mean wheel we sailed down the canyon and over the mountain road and in an hour were at the capitol steps over this we week end the capitol has been the busiest place in all utah what with the legislature in session license plates income taxes legislative meetings lobbyists hobbyists etc a veritable beehive vera disappeared into the house of lords while I 1 entered the house of commons the house was still in session there are CO 60 representatives in the house 41 democrats and 19 republicans and of course the majority rules they the democrats sometimes seem to doubt if the he republicans are arc even christians ians but one thing I 1 like about them at times on really bi big 19 is issues they forget party lines and vote with the republicans As usual they were huiping back and forth whether they should raise their own salaries oi or not at this time the nays had bad it later it was a different story coming down from the capitol on the bus stopped on the hill bill for an old laa lady y she had some difficulty getting up the step the driver left his seat and with both hands outstretched helped her in aishe aa she passed the fare box with all the dignity of the late queen victoria she dropped a nickel into it now we all know that the fare is ten cents ill bet she did too the driver turned quickly with a glint of accusation in his eyes and seeing the perfect little lady smiled instead and said nothing out of the corner of my eye I 1 summed her up beautiful fur coat stylish little hat shiniest shi niest black galoshes galos hes almost to her knees the latest fashion several times she gently reminded the driver she wished to get out at 2nd and south at her corner the driver left his se seat stepped out of the bus and lifted her on to the sidewalk I 1 think bus drivers are the nicest people 1 I know at t the hotel we ran into the P rices
