Show ABOUT US fair day A parade up and down the highway has been going by the house for hours proud horses with gleaming flanks pleased as all get out to be showing off cattle sheep and pigs that look as though they had just been through a beautification at elizabeth addens salon when mr ed criddle arrived at the exhibit building yesterday his arms laden with fine produce I 1 exclaimed now I 1 know were going to have a fair lie ile has surely been one of the most loyal fair and his grain and produce entries have always been outstanding best wishes for many more blue ribbon days mr criddle well yes I 1 aez 1 I aint never seen a rodeo in evanston I 1 aez 61 so ill be mighty pleased to go I 1 aez whoops folks so many people in that wyoming town last sunday I 1 am no great judge of the ridi ridin n copin profession but in rny my opinion it was one of the most entertaining rodeos I 1 have ever seen the arena is comparatively small so that spectators get a good wherever they sit the events followed in smooth succession the davis and weber county mounted posse glamorized the show while the two clowns with everything from a trick car to a live skunk provided plenty of laughs we were more than interested when they announced bob rees in the roping event unfortunately bob had a little tough luck as all cowboys do in their hectic careers any how the glory he won in the davis county show is still shining around the good looking cowpuncher by the way folks I 1 know many of you remember bob mitchell w who ho lived liere here some years ago it may interest you to know that bob and his nice wife have recently opened a restaurant in evanston called the jolly roger inn it is on the other side of the tracks from town in a three story building that used to be a mill I 1 believe any how it is a clever attractive place with excellent food and entrancing music bob give me a free feed for this folks just thought like to inow know I 1 monday I 1 was all twitter atwitter a over a reunion in salt lake with friends from seattle I 1 had not seen since zion park days As always when good friends get together we sort of picked up the conversation where we left off eight years ago and talked a blue streak for six hours the only pause came when we spoke of max white who shared our joys trials and tribulations in zion park that faraway summer so much water has flown under the bridge since then well I 1 must go and take a couple coupie of aspirin a sniff of beneze drine and anoint my red nose with menthola tum turn I 1 thought id try a wyoming cold this time to see if they are arc better than our utah variety bye now ill be sneezing zin you at the fair F E W |
