penalties r antion i nt ion thereof SECTION I 1 BARDER BARBER SHOPS EQUIPMENT A AD D appliances TO BE KEPT CLEAN all barber shops and all uin iture and equipment therein all bo be kept in a clean and sanitary rendition and such shops shall be 11 ventilated and provided with aple supply of hot and cold run binn ini water all mugs shaving brushes razors scissors cl el lipping nachine pinchers pin chers needles and other instruments and appliances shall be t either by immersion in boiling water or in alcohol of at least sixty per cent strength after each separate use SECTION 2 BARBER SHOPS CLEAN TOWELS TO BE USED no barber shall use for the service of a customer any towel steam towel or wash cloth that has not been boiled or laundered since last used each barber when cutting any persons hair shall place a newly laundered towel about the neck so as to prevent the hair cloth from touching the skin SECTION 3 BARBERS NOT TO TREAT SKIN DISEASES no barber shall undertake to treat in any manner whatsoever any disease or eruption ot of the skin such as pimples boils moles and the like SECTION 4 BARBERS HANDS TO BE CLEANSED every barber shall thoroughly cleanse his hands immediately before serving each customer SECTION 5 BEAUTY PARLORS ORDIN 0 R D I 1 NANCES RELATING TO BARBER SHOPS APPLY all sections of these ordinances relating to barber shops and barbers shall likewise apply to hair dressing establishments and to beauty parlors and to persons operating the same or employed Uie ti herein rein SECTION 6 DISEASED PERSON WHEN NOT TO BE EMPLOYED every person seeking employment or who shall be employed to work and whose duties shall have to do with the handling preparation manufacture or sale of food or drink which is prepared cooked mixed baked exposed bottled packed handled stored manufactured offered for sale or sold or 01 who seeks employment and is employed in any barbershop beauty parlor or hairdressing hair dressing parlor shall present and keep on tile file with the proprietor or manager of such place and subject to inspection of the board of health or its authorized representatives a certificate issued by a duly licensed physician to the effect that such person is not afflicted with any infections or contagious disease and it shall be un lawful for any person to engage in such employment without having presented such certificate and such such employees may be required by the board of health to furnish a new certificate at least once in three months no person owning operating or managing any such place heretofore mentioned in this section shall employ any person in the handling preparation manufacture or sale of any food or drink until the I 1 certificate i hereinbefore mentioned I 1 has been filed with him SECTION 7 all dishes glassware spoons or other utensils used in any ice cream parlor soda fountain delicatessen or in in any other place where ice cream soft drinks or other foods or refreshments fresh ments are served sold or dispensed 1 shall be kept clean and sanitary and after each individual service shall be cleansed by washing and by thoroughly rinsing with boll ing water or other infecting disinfecting dis
