Show john gentry kidd veteran railroader dies suddenly the community was saddened sunday morning when it was learned that john gentry kidd had passed suddenly away at his home in this city early that morning mr kidd was a veteran railroad man having served as union pacific station agent at coalville Co alville for 21 years from 1914 to july 1935 when he was transferred to echo he was pensioned in august 1940 and since that time has been engaged in the fur raising business prior to coming to coalville Co alville mi kidd worked for the union pacific at sidney bebr and hermosa avo completing 37 years vears of service with that company compa riv he was a member of the U P old timers no 6 of ogden a member of the order of and A ineaz ber of the masonic sidney I 1 bebr he was born february 17 1884 1834 in ofallon ill a son of eugene and mary kidd he married nettie ackerman february 4 1907 in denver colo she died 4 years ago he is survived by a son and daughter eugene and retha kidd of coalville Co alville two sisters mrs john taylor of Beil bellville ville ill HI and mrs alice carmen of centralia Cen III his mother of bellville ill HI funeral services were conducted wednesday at 2 p m tn in the north summit high school auditorium with bishop A S gardner in charge order of services was as follows invocation john A lamb mixed quartette speaker david barber solo judith beard sermon reverend carver of ogden duet mrs A L geary and mrs F D WU wil bams closing prayer john W wilde services at the graveside in the Co alville cemetery were conducted by uintah lodge no 7 F A M park city at the request of the sidney bebr lodge of which mr kidd was a member summit county bee |
