Show war veteran of echo succumbs saturday august 24 sidney willard wallard colllns collins 46 ot of echo died at his home saturday at four forty five a m of coronary thrombosis after an a n illness of about three hours born march 18 1894 in laramie wyo a son of samuel and mary rogers colllns collins mr colllns collins had lived in echo for the past 18 years he married hazel Hold holdeman ernan march 1 1922 in colorado he was a member of the leroy E benson post of coalville Co alville american legion the elks lodge of park city and the baptist church mr colllns collins enlisted in the U S army april 27 1918 at fort colllns collins colo and saw active service overseas he fought in the battle of st athiel september 11 to 13 and in the battle of meuse argonne from october 31 to november 11 ile he received an honorable discharge may 18 while on duty he was both wounded and gassed surviving are his widow a brother and three sisters T wesley colins colim san gabriel calif mrs mary tull mrs irene nelson and miss georgia colllns collins I 1 funeral services were conducted tuesday at two p m in the echo L D S ward chapel by william chappell and the american leor le or the body was taken to laramie wyo for interment summit county bee |
