Show county leaders to attend school utah uta h exten extension sion workers and county leaders will attend the annual adult leaders training school which will be conducted by the utah agricultural college november 29 to december 9 according to director william peterson of the extension service county agent C R richards states that morgan county has been two leaders to attend this training school one man one woman the leaders who have attended the school in the past have received valuable information for thern themselves selves and the county the training school is designed primarily for county leaders county agricultural extension agents home demonstration agents and specialists one hundred are expected to attend the school county planning has been in progress in utah for about two years and because of the success of the program it has been made the central theme of oi the school director peterson said the plan of the school is to consider some of the major problems with which the county boards have dealt with and will deal with in the coming years specific problems to be discussed will be irrigation better health and sanitation in the communities com muni ties a wiser use of credit and production methods which will best suit the particular area in addition there will be discussions and demonstrations of ways of analyzing county problems and stimulating clatin widespread community interest in these problems leaders in the various count counties les will take part in the program and present their plans regional grouping will be carried out in the school where the problems of common interest will be discussed and pos sible solutions offered the primary object behind county planning is to increase the income of present farmers and make opportunities tuni ties greater for young married couples who intend to make their living from farming the discussions atthe at the training school are a means mean s to achieve this goal the united states department of agricultural will be represented at the meet and a number of visitors from the extension service of other states will be present those att attending endina school will be housed by the college college and meals will be served in the cafeteria entertainment is also planned |
