Show veteran Us P R R em aloye dies in omaha thomas william richards 64 a well known and highly respected streamline engineer of evanston who was removed a few days ago to st josephs hospital in omaha and operated upon for bladder trouble passed away there yesterday afternoon sept 9 1936 at 2 his wife being with him he was born jan 15 1872 at round valley morgan county utah the son soil of evan alvin and anne john richards deceased ile he came to evanston Evan slon in 1891 going to work in the union pacific railroad raili ralli oad shops and in 1899 was promoted to the position of railroad fireman and a 1 lew few years later to engineer tom chads Rl familiarly known was married to laura heelis of san utah in ili the mormon temple at salt lake city on sept 14 1900 she surviving also two daughters mrs owen gwen overman of omaha and mrs miriam rowland cheyenne and a son lynn richards of evanston one sister mrs john T whittle montpelier idaho three brothers isaac and joseph richards salt lake city levi richards ot of los angeles and four grandchildren evanston times |
