Show PIONEER DOCTOR AT 81 1 IN FAMILY HOME ECHO william samuel wilson M D 81 veteran wyoming physician and surgeon and retired union pacific section foreman died late thursday at the family home in echo of general debility widely known through sections of wyoming and in summit and morgan counties as a railroad man and physician dr wilson had maintained an active railroad life arid and carried on charity medical work born in san francisco cal al july 9 1854 he was taken when an infant to australia with his parents when 15 years old he returned to the united states dr wilson began work for the union pacific railroad as a lection hand in rawlins wyo in 1877 he successively worked in piedmont and spring valley wyoming and during the winter months studied medicine at the bellevue medical college in new york he was graduated from that institution in 1885 1835 and granted a wyoming license to practice he married tresa branstetter OCL 6 1888 and ad ai in 1909 moved to echo where he h 0 since j alc had lived up upon his retirement from railroad service ervice december Dee ember 31 1932 dr wilson was signally honored by the railroad when the following inscription crip tion was made on his retirement certificate his personal record in all railroad records not a blemish against tt it to late date dr wilson was a member of the evanston wyo lodge no 4 A F and A M and of the el ei kalah temple of the shrine he also held membership in the railroad em aloyes and foremans For emens association dr wilson clair claimed ned to have been the oldest salt lake tribune subscriber in echo surviving are ills his widow a son frank T wilson and one grandson andson Rr all of echo funeral services were co conducted sunday at I 1 p m in the bho L D S ward chapel by geo W cue of the Ev evanston alliton lodge no 4 A F and A M burial was held in the echo cemetery under direction of the lindquist sons mortuary of ogden |
