Show FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR THOMAS BENTON DUNN impressive and beautiful were the funeral services held in the coal ville tabernacle monday at 2 tor for thomas B dunn 88 summit countes coun tys oldest resident the order of services were as follows opening prayer by george beard solo by mrs judith beard accompanied by rhea beard Scrip scripture tuTe reading by reverend H R evans of evanston violin solo by bernice salmon sermon by reverend evans solo by mrs judith beard closing remarks and prayer by brother E L hansen han sen dedication was by T edgar beard thomas benton duru dunn 4 youngest son of mr and mrs harvey hamy dunn of chambersburg Chambers burg illinois was born july 31 1842 he was married to nancy banning in the year 1866 to this union 6 children were born bom three sons and three daughters mrs dunn died in the year 1906 three years after the death of his wife he came west to make his home with his two surviving children george and harvey the deceased has been a life long member of the christian church chuich and a member of the masonic fraternity since 1863 having lived to ripe old age he surrendered to the sickness incidental to senility at the home of W H dunn at Co coalville alville on october 25 1930 in addition to his two sons W H dunn duim of this city and george H dunn of greeley colo he Is survived by 7 grand children 7 great grand children and a great number of friends lifes labor done as sinks the clay light from its load the spirit tiles flies while heaven and earth combine to say how blest the righteous when he dies CARD OF THANKS we wish to thank our neighbors and friends for the beautiful flowers and many expressions of sympathy during the sickness and death of thomas benton dunn G H dunn and family W H dunn and family |
